What a special day it was to celebrate Peyton and Spencer at The Ivy House in Saugatuck, Michigan. This newer venue proved to be a treat for the bridal party, wedding guests, and vendors alike. The Ivy House is host to a bridal suite, groom’s room, reception event space, and a beautiful greenhouse used for ceremonies. While all separate from one another, these spaces are held on the same grounds and make for easy access throughout the day.
The morning began with capturing photos of the ladies getting ready in the bridal suite followed by some fun shots of the groomsmen. Then came all the important first looks with Peyton’s bridesmaids, her dad, and finally with the groom. Not only did Peyton and Spencer opt for a first look with each other, they also decided to take wedding party photos before the ceremony. The day moved effortlessly from bride and groom sharing vows to celebrating with their guests during cocktail hour and the reception.
Everything about this day felt easy including the love Peyton and Spencer so clearly feel for one another. As a photographer, it’s always special to stand behind the camera capturing photos of two people who are so in love. It seemed effortless to take Peyton and Spencer’s portrait photos because of their genuine giddiness and excitement to be with each other.
Throughout their entire day, Peyton and Spencer’s outgoing and laid-back attitudes made for a fun, carefree celebration. I couldn’t have been more honored to be a part of the love-filled festivities!
